Privacy Policy
Eighty (“Eighty,” “we,” “us”) operates an early-access waitlist and free eligibility check for a service that helps homeowners cancel private mortgage insurance (PMI). This policy explains what information we collect on this site, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you use the eligibility check or join the waitlist, you may provide:
- Contact details: phone number and, if you choose, email address
- Property and loan figures you enter: state, estimated home value, mortgage balance, and monthly insurance payment
- Answers to optional questions, such as your mortgage servicer, loan type, purchase year, and your interest in our planned service
Every figure you enter is self-reported. We do not pull your credit, access your loan account, or verify your information with any third party.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting and infrastructure providers automatically receive basic technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and pages viewed. If we enable advertising tools (such as the Meta Pixel), they may use cookies or similar technologies to measure how you arrived at the site and whether you signed up; we will use such tools only for measuring and improving our advertising.
How we use your information
- To estimate your PMI cancellation eligibility and show you your report
- To reserve your place on the early-access waitlist
- To contact you about your eligibility, your spot, and the launch of our service
- To understand demand and decide what to build, using aggregated, de-identified analysis
- To operate, secure, and improve the site
What we never do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not pull your credit. Using this site has no effect on your credit.
- We do not contact your mortgage servicer or anyone else about you without your explicit authorization.
Calls and texts
By providing your phone number, you agree that we may call or text you about your eligibility and early access. We keep it relevant and infrequent. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or contact us using the email below. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
Who we share information with
We share personal information only with the service providers that run this site — currently Supabase (database hosting) and Vercel (web hosting), plus advertising platforms for measurement if we enable a pixel — and only as needed to provide the service. We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist information while we are building and operating the early-access program. If we decide not to launch, or if you ask us to delete your information, we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Email us at matteoagostine@gmail.com and we will honor your request. Residents of California and certain other states have specific rights under state privacy laws, including the right to know, delete, and correct personal information and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights; you can exercise all of them through the same email.
Security
Your information is stored with access controls so that it is not publicly readable, and we use industry-standard providers to host it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we limit what we collect and who can reach it.
Children
This site is intended for homeowners and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. Material changes will be noted prominently.
